While most of us probably remember her as the heroic Autobot warrior Elita-One, this was not her original name or position… she started out as a simple dockworker named Ariel working beside Orion Pax doing a regular job and living a normal life. But her destiny was anything but normal… after an unprovoked attack by Megatron she was rebuilt by Alpha Trion into the powerful resistance fighter we now know and recognize as Elita-One. It took a catastrophic and nearly life-ending event to unlock the transformation that would bring her into an intersection with her true calling, but what her enemy meant for harm became the catalyst that rebuilt her into the best version of herself.
When we are dealing with unexpected attacks in our lives, it can be hard to see the hidden purpose that the Lord has for these painful events. But it was Megatron’s horrific actions that transformed Ariel and Orion Pax into Elita-One and Optimus Prime, and in a similar fashion the Lord uses the evil actions of our spiritual enemies that were intended to break us to build us back stronger than we were before they happened. Our calling tends to reveal itself through the fiery crucible of our enemy’s attacks, so instead of raising our fist at heaven wondering why the Lord has permitted these circumstances to happen, let’s surrender our wounds to Him and allow Him to forge our faith into armor that is truly indestructible.
But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. Genesis 50:20
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
