Whether it is in his original Volkswagen Bug G1 design or in his updated incarnations as a Chevy Camaro, Bumblebee is typically undersized and outmatched by the opponents he faces… at least on the outside. But looks can be deceiving… on the inside, Bumblebee carries the heart of a loyal and fearless follower who has bravely faced the largest of the Decepticons including Megatron himself in battle. Sure, he has been left battered and bruised on many occasions after taking on these larger adversaries, but his diminutive stature is one of his greatest assets. Bumblebee is often underestimated up to the point that his over-confident opponents fall to him in battle.

In the real-world battles that we face in life, we may often feel like we are too small to accomplish the missions the Lord has for us in life. But that is by design… if we are able to achieve victory through our own strength and capabilities instead of needing to lean on Christ for help, then we are probably not fighting the right battles in the first place. The Lord does not call us based on our own strength or how capable we appear on the outside… He chooses servants who have a heart after His own heart and are willing to take on seemingly unwinnable battles and impossible odds because they know that the outcome of the fight does not belong to them, but to the Lord.

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. 1 Corinthians 1:26-29
