One of the kindnesses that Mario Kart shows its players is guiding us on the optimal path around the course through the placement of coins. Even from a distance, seeing the way the coins are lined up gives us an idea of how we want to take an upcoming turn or where the next boost pad is, and as we pick them up we are directed along the best route to take as well as steered away from road hazards. While collecting the coins themselves provides value by increasing our top speed throughout the entire race, their greatest service is guiding both novice and veterans alike around the track safely by showing us the way.

While reading and applying the eternal wisdom contained in the Bible is a great way to grow in our personal character, this collection of books isn’t merely a guide to self-improvement… it is the unfiltered accounts of those souls who have walked closest to the Lord and chosen to share their journey, allowing us to both follow in their footsteps as well as avoid their mistakes. From cautionary tales of those who lost their way to lives worthy of emulation, this living Word is not simply a collection of coins to be picked up… it is the authoritative roadmap to seeking, building, and maintaining a true, in-depth relationship with our Creator. The Bible is so much more than an anthology of helpful advice… it is The Way.
