Promises, Promises…

Over the years I’ve been burned by games that promised features and experiences in their promotional trailers that they didn’t actually end up delivering in the final product. When a developer who has previously released broken games tries to show me something new and guarantees that they will deliver this time, it can be difficult to trust them again. But… if I never let them move on from their mistakes, I will miss out on the new gaming experiences they have created that reflects their growth.

Guilt and shame have no place in the life of a follower of Christ… for ourselves or for others. Once we have fully submitted to the Lord in repentance and He has cleansed our sins, they are permanently washed away. It’s our enemy who attempts to convince us that this offer is too good to be true, that it doesn’t apply to us, or that it shouldn’t apply to the mistakes made by others. Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross purchased our total redemption without exception… regardless of our past failures. Let’s accept His gift of full forgiveness for ourselves and others without restrictions and move forward as fellow new creations in Christ!

“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
