Answering the Unpreventable Call of Duty: Death in the Script (Luke 24:15-21)

There was a time when it wasn’t this way.  Believe it or not, there was a point in time in which Call of Duty was not an annual “thing”.  And […]

Prison Break and the Secret Life of Plumbers (Acts 16:22-34)

Mario may be the most well-known plumber in the history of the planet, which is ironic since I have never seen him do anything that seems remotely “plumberly”.  But while […]

The Value of a Villain: Why we Need Darth Vader (John 11:45-53, Matthew 5:43-44)

Thank goodness for video game villains.  I know that may seem to be an odd sentiment, but after years of both playing games as a participant as well as working […]

Finding the Redemption in Your Cup of Red Dead (Luke 19:1-9)

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a notable release for a huge amount of reasons, but one of the most well-known reasons may be the sheer amount of WAITING that fans […]

CAUTION: Obstacles Ahead May Be More Vital Than They Appear (Judges 14-16, Acts 13, Luke 9:51)

This is incredibly painful for me to admit.  As a red-blooded American male what I am about to say is anathema, and may be grounds for me to lose my […]

The PlayStation “Classic”: You Can’t Give What You Don’t Possess (Acts 19:11-20)

Retro gaming may be bigger than anything NOT named Fortnite right now, and I for one am about as pleased as a duck swimming in a lake full of Frosted […]

The Rise and Fall of Telltale Games: The Dangers of Over-Encumbrance (1 Sam 17, Matthew 11)

The surprising and bitter ending to the story for Telltale Games is ironically in keeping with the way many of my decisions have panned out when playing one of their […]

Spider-Man: Swinging Right Past the Origin Story (1 and 2 Samuel)

Origin stories.  They are not only an expectation, they are practically a rite of passage.  If you want to get to the part of the game where your character can […]
