The importance of a healer in any party can’t be overstated, and Donald Duck’s role in supporting his teammates in Kingdom Hearts is essential to the advancement of the entire story. But Donald doesn’t simply heal his teammates from a safe and comfortable distance… he is in the battle with them, acting as both a healing protector and a cooperative partner in each of their battles. The funny part is that Donald doesn’t even agree with most of the ideas and decisions that Sora and his crew decide to take on, but he still provides them with healing support anyways, choosing to heal their wounds rather than judge the wounded.

No matter what “ministry” the Lord has called us to, we are ALL called to serve Him as ministers of reconciliation… we are all “healers” in a fellow player’s story, providing prayer, love, and support even when we disagree with the decisions they made that led them into this position. Jesus came to be a “physician to the sick”, choosing to guide the wounded back to health and into a reconciled relationship with the Father. Let’s step up and be the “healer” in someone else’s battle today, even if it was their own poor decisions that caused their pain. Saying “I told you so” or “you should have known better” has never saved a single soul… the loving prayers of a fellow sinner saved by grace is the healing medicine that they need.

Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16
