The amount of massive studio acquisitions that Microsoft has invested into over the last several years is staggering… from Minecraft developer Mojang to Bethesda and even the juggernaut of Activision/Blizzard, Microsoft has been putting their money where their mouth is and truly proving their long-term commitment to the realm of gaming. While every gaming company tends to be devoted to their mission, the sacrificial level of investment that Xbox has demonstrated goes beyond mere self-preservation of their brand… the price they have been willing to pay shows that they are in this game for keeps. They have their eyes set on becoming the biggest game publisher in the world, no matter the cost.
The love of Christ is freely given to all who are willing to receive it, but the act of receiving His grace should compel our heart’s response to pursue Him in return. And as we seek after Him, our lives should demonstrate the investment we are making into our relationship with Him… not because He asked us to or is requiring it, but because His great love that He has shown for us inspires our desire to love Him back. He is the pearl of great price we’ve been searching for, and the priceless treasure worth sacrificing everything to acquire… all who lose themselves in pursuit of Him find the greatest treasure of all.
The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it. Matthew 13:45-46
We love Him because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19
