Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion: The Guide that Supports the Game

I never really purchased many “strategy guides” for my games over the years, but then along came Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I didn’t think I would need this massive book by my side while I played the game, mostly because I’ve always been successful in playing other games without this additional support guiding me on what to do next all the time. But its’ value quickly became apparent the deeper I got into the game… it not only pointed out the best path to where I was going, but it showed me how to prepare for the game’s most difficult challenges in advance. The guide wasn’t designed to be restrictive… it was provided so I could enjoy the wisdom of the game’s creators, with advice on how to avoid the most common pitfalls and find the best rewards.

The current accessibility level of the Bible can lead many of us to either take it for granted or see it as merely a reference book for when we get stuck… but it is only through spending time daily within its’ pages that we reveal the Lord’s intentions for our lives as well as expose our own deepest motivations. We aren’t equipped for the missions He has designed for us or even able to head in the correct direction without its’ timeless wisdom, so let’s play the game the way that it was designed today… with fresh guidance from His “strategy guide” freshly buried in our heart.

Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Psalm 119:11

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
