There is something unique about playing Animal Crossing during the “seasonal events” that it offers that few other games can successfully mimic. From receiving gifts on my birthday, the real-time celebration of almost every major holiday throughout the year, and the variety of tournaments and other limited-time special events that pop up during select dates, Animal Crossing sure knows how to make a gamer feel special. But there are also plenty of days in Animal Crossing that are just an ordinary day… no news from Isabelle or parties to attend, just another day to walk around and catch bugs. But this is why Animal Crossing is so great… even a simple Monday in AC contains more joy than most games have in their entire play-through.

As followers of Christ, we will find that there will be seasons of rejoicing, times of mourning, and days that we wish were over shortly after they started. But each of these days are STILL a unique day that the Lord has granted us on this planet that represents an irreplaceable gift to be cherished… even those painful ones that seem to only bring more problems. Let’s rejoice today for the new opportunity we received when we woke up this morning, because even the worst day that we spend down here is still a day we can spend walking hand-in-hand with the Lord.
