The closer that Huntrix came to finally sealing the honmoon and setting the entire world free from demonic oppression, the more desperate and persistent their opposition became. The path forward only became more difficult with each step they took… the enemy incursions were larger and more frequent, and the attacks on them became even more intense on both a physical and emotional level. But the volume and ferocity of these battles only proved that their mission was nearing completion and Gwi-Ma knew his time was short… even though it looked like they were at their most broken state, in that moment they were actually the closest they had ever been to the victory that they were seeking.

While it would be nice if each step in our faith journey felt progressively lighter, the reality is the closer we get to a breakthrough the more our enemy will increase the intensity of the attacks we are facing. This isn’t a sign we are heading in the wrong direction… it’s actually the proof we are getting closer to breaking a powerful enemy stronghold. Don’t lose hope when the battle begins to feel overwhelming… the heavier the resistance, the more persistent our prayers of faith must become. His grace is will always be sufficient for our needs, so let’s lift our burdens up to Him knowing the finish line is almost here.

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:17-19

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed. Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. 2 Corinthians 4:7-9, 16-17
