For years, Nintendo and Sega’s respective mascots existed in an adversarial relationship… as the competing public faces for their brands, the idea that we would ever see Mario and Sonic coexist on the same console (much less team up in the same game) only existed as a pipe dream in the hearts of gamers worldwide. But when Sega moved on from developing hardware to focusing exclusively on crafting games, those dreams finally became a reality. The unlikely crossover between these two gaming icons finally happened, delivering multiple games that proved that the Blue Blur and the world’s most famous plumber are truly better together.

Our eternal adversary’s greatest tactic in his war against the body of Christ is by sowing seeds of division. When we stand together in unity with one heart of love sharing the mind of Christ, we can tear down every spiritual stronghold… but when we turn against each other and allow our nonessential doctrinal disagreements to become internal battlefields, we do satan’s work for him. Throughout the Bible, we are literally begged to work together as one body to do the Father’s will on this planet, so let’s put away our arguments and unproductive points of contention and allow our combined mission of reaching others with the love of Christ to bring us together as ONE.

Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 1 Corinthians 1:10

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
