“Easter Eggs” in our Games: A Reminder to Search

Over the years we’ve all become accustomed to looking for “Easter eggs” in our video games… little hidden nuggets of gaming goodness from the developer that rewards only the most diligent of seekers. And the very best “Easter eggs” in our games, the rewards that actually change the way the game is played, are exclusively found by those who fully commit to moving beyond a surface exploration of the game and into truly unlocking all the deepest treasures it contains.

This Easter Sunday represents more than just an opportunity to remember Christ’s resurrection and the freedom He has purchased for all who will receive it… it serves as a reminder that there is more to our walk with Christ than simply our acceptance of His gift. The whole point of Him coming and dying wasn’t just to give us access to the Father, but to be “God with us” through every part of our lives… and to enjoy this gift means pressing beyond a surface level exploration of His grace to the rewards He reserves for those who truly seek Him with all of their hearts.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13

When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.” Psalm 27:8
