The character of Ahsoka didn’t exactly receive the warmest of welcomes when she first joined the franchise in the Clone Wars animated movie from either her fictional mentor or the Star Wars fanbase… but she forged through the painful experience of being the unwanted padawan of Anakin to a feared and respected warrior with few equals. Ahsoka grew from an undesired apprentice into a true Jedi before forging her own path into an entirely new destiny… all because she refused to let her rejection and pain define her, but instead allowed it to refine her into the hero we never even knew we needed.
Real-world heroines such as Sarah, Ruth and Esther could have easily allowed the pain that caused one to be barren, left one a widow, and another an orphan to define them… but they pushed through these hardships and tragedies to become the champions that their stories and ours needed, changing the history of the world in the process. The hard times we experience in life are real and they hurt, but they also serve as a refining fire that the Lord will use to bring unbelievable miracles to life and victory in the lives of others. If our story feels unreasonably hard, it’s just proof of an incredible destiny that couldn’t have been achieved any other way.
Happy Ahsoka Tano Day!
But Ruth said: “Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. Ruth 1:16
By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. Hebrews 11:11
For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this? Esther 4:14
