s much as I enjoy games that let me choose my own path and make my own dialogue decisions, it’s a bit of a double-edged sword. I always wonder if I made the best possible choice… not just for my character, but for achieving the best ending to the game as well. Because of this, I typically create a new game save right before one of those “big decisions” so I can go back and see how each different path would have played out. It sure would be nice if I could pull a move like Dr. Strange from Avengers: Infinity War and view all 14,000,605 possible outcomes before making my decision… fortunately, we all have access to something even better than that.
We have all been gifted with unlimited access to a timeless source of knowledge, and while the Bible may not always tell us the specific answers to all of our questions (like what career choice to pursue), it will always help us divide between what our flesh desires and what our spirit truly needs. If we humbly and prayerfully approach these challenging and confusing decisions in life by searching His Word for insight and guidance first, He will be faithful to use the Scriptures to reveal our true motives and align our hearts with His purpose. His Word always shines the light on the right door to open and the next step to take.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
