Halo Energy Swords and the Weapons Formed Against Us

While there are many unforgettable moments I’ve experienced in my Halo adventures, one of the most memorable is the first time I picked up the energy sword. My previous experience with this game-changing weapon was limited to seeing it wielded against me by the Elite soldiers who were trying to destroy me… and seeing one of these ignited in the darkness was NEVER perceived as a good thing. But the same item that once struck fear into my heart in the hands of my enemies has brought me many of my greatest triumphs… what was designed to intimidate and destroy me became the source of some of my greatest successes.

We shouldn’t be surprised that our enemy is forging weapons against us… the Bible pretty much guarantees that will happen to all of us. But the attacks that were designed to destroy us and crush our spirits are the same tools the Lord will repurpose in our lives to unlock our greatest triumphs. The broken chains that our enemy designed to bind us are more than just proof that these attacks were unsuccessful… they are the testimony we will use to overcome the darkness with His marvelous light.

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord. Isaiah 54:17

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
