In Kingdom Hearts, the intentional choices we make before our mission to prepare for it has a massive impact on how they play out. From deciding how to invest the skill points that we acquired to which of our items we choose to equip before entering into the battles we will face, we either set ourselves up for future success or unintentionally increase our degree of difficulty by taking on these challenges poorly equipped and under-prepared for them. A wise explorer takes the time to allocate their XP to critical skills and thoughtfully equip the best gear before entering into conflicts that will require them… and since we don’t know what’s coming next, we should prepare for anything.

We’ll all face some real-world battles today, and how we prepare for them in advance will decrease their degree of difficulty and set us up for victory no matter how challenging they are. From absorbing the Lord’s words into our hearts so we are equipped for whatever our day may bring to prayerfully seeking His wisdom to guide us in each decision we make, let’s prepare before our missions start today… He wouldn’t give us armor if we didn’t need it.

Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Psalm 119:11

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:10-13
