Kingdom Hearts: A Lower Level of Difficulty

I tend to play most games on their default setting, but when my young daughter wanted to play Kingdom Hearts with me I dropped the difficulty level down to the most casual setting so she could experience it for herself without frustration. One day she will probably play it on a higher level of challenge, and eventually she will grow and surpass my gaming skills… but she isn’t even in kindergarten yet, so today we will play at the level she is able to. Her time for the tough stuff will come soon enough…  but for now I just want her to fall in love with the joy of gaming the same way that I did.

As we seek to reach others for Christ, we must remember that we all found Him first in simple, child-like faith… It’s our role to introduce others  to Him and guide them into His love and grace, and it is the Spirit’s job to guide them into His deeper, convicting truth. Let’s share Christ and His truth with love and grace the same way we once received it, and disciple others the same way that Jesus did during His time on earth… by helping them to bring their burdens to the Lord, not make them even harder to carry. We will all carry our crosses… let’s help, not hinder.

Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:2-3

For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. Matthew 23:4, 13
