The Kingdom Hearts franchise launched over twenty years ago, and with only a few entries in the mainline series the wait between each has felt impossibly long. Sure, there have been little handheld spin-offs to keep us occupied, but all they do is build our anticipation for the next major chapter in the story. While waiting for our bigger questions to be answered may feel unnecessary and frustrating, the delay has given time for new worlds and characters that weren’t previously available or even in existence when KH first released to be added… the wait is necessary because it’ll be worth it.
When the answers to our prayers seem to be taking longer than we’d prefer, it’s important to keep in mind that the Lord’s will for our life doesn’t exist in a vacuum… there are multiple moving parts that involve others who may not be in the position they need to be to join us on our journey yet. He isn’t delaying His answer simply to see how patient we can be… He is putting together a larger solution than we can comprehend that answers more prayers than just ours. Let’s be patient in our waiting season knowing this “delay” is part of a bigger answer.
For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hurries toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it delays, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay long. Habakkuk 2:3
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. Lamentations 3:25-26
