Game Saves and “Trust Issues”

When it comes to my video game saves I have some “trust issues”… while saving a game on my hard drive feels safe and natural, trusting an important game save to the “cloud” is still difficult for me to do.  While I comprehend the concept of “cloud saves” and understand the level of security that it provides, putting my trust in a system I can’t physically see to protect something near and dear to my heart is still hard.  But if I want to take advantage of the storage saving capabilities of the cloud or utilize portable storage options, I have to confidently send my precious save file to them for safe keeping and trust it will be safe there.

One of the prerequisites to receiving what we are praying for is our fully committed belief in the power and willingness of the Lord to act on our behalf.  While there are some prayers that our omniscient Father may answer with a “No” or “Not now”, all of our prayers must be sent with the full confidence that He not only can, but WILL act on our prayers with our best interests in mind.  Let’s pray in confidence that the Lord not only hears our prayers, but has the power and desire to act on our behalf!

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:5-8

The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.” Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour. Matthew 8:8, 13
