If you have played a continually progressing game like Destiny, then you know that the completion of the story campaign is really just the beginning.  From additional in-game missions, new raids, and full story expansions, the quest to craft the perfect armor set and grow our maximum light level is a never ending journey.  Every Guardian’s path is as unique as the Guardian we are playing as, but we all have the same “destiny”… to “level up” as our path unfolds before us, one step at a time, as we grow in our relationship with the “light”.

Our experience with the Lord is like any other relationship… it is not built in a moment or through the singular decision to believe in Him, but through our continual, intentional, day-to-day experience of seeking Him, following Him,  talking to Him, and growing in our faith. Our destiny in life is not found in simply knowing of Him, but in growing in our relationship with Him… because getting to know Him IS the journey. And as we make our single-minded pursuit of Him with our hearts, minds, and spirits our life’s goal, our individual daily steps in our respective destinies will be revealed.

Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is, ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. Mark 12:29

Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day. Psalm 25:4-5
