I didn’t purchase a lot of “strategy guides” for my games over the years… but then along came Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. I didn’t plan to play the game with this massive book by my side, because I had been successful in playing so many other games without this additional support telling me what to do all the time. But its’ value quickly became apparent the deeper I got into the game, as it pointed out the best path to where I was going as well as guided me on how to prepare for the game’s most difficult challenges in advance so I could avoid the pitfalls I would’ve fallen into without the benefits of the wisdom of the game’s creators.

The current accessibility level of the Bible can lead many of us to either take it for granted or see it as merely a reference book for when we get stuck instead of a daily guide… but our time spent in its’ pages is designed to both show us the Lord’s intentions as well as expose our own deepest motivations. We simply aren’t equipped for our missions or headed the right way without its’ divine direction, so let’s play the game the way it was designed today… with His written wisdom freshly buried in our heart.
