The amount of operations that occur behind the scenes in even the most basic video game is staggering… from invisible walls that prevent us from progressing outside of the playable area to AI scripting that determines the actions that non-playable characters take. The lines of code that tethers objects to the ground and controls their movements remains invisible to me throughout my experience, allowing me to run and jump without worrying about flying off into space. I don’t have to meet the game’s creator or even understand the mechanisms that make the game playable to appreciate what they made and believe that they exist.
Our inability to physically see the Lord can be a challenge for our minds to accept, but we CAN observe the proof of His existence in the world around us if we open our eyes to see the underlying beauty in all He has made. From the invisible walls that guide our paths to the intricate details that permit our continued existence, the invisible God is visible through what we CAN see… and if we choose to believe, it changes the way we play this game and the ending we receive at its’ conclusion.
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. Romans 1:20
That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:7-9
