Battling elemental enemies in a game such as Pokémon or Final Fantasy requires the use of very specific tactics and capabilities in order to be successful… such as the use of the OPPOSITE element to win the battle.  Using an electric-based attack on an electric-type enemy is not only ineffective, many times it serves the completely opposite and undesired effect of reinforcing the battle capabilities of these adversaries, recharging their strength.  Fighting fire with fire only drains my limited energy while simultaneously making my opponent’s attacks more potent. There is only one path to victory… unleash the water.

Engaging those who oppose us with the exact same attack style and energy they are using is an exercise in futility… responding with anger and hate only adds fuel to the fire and feeds the conflict. The only Biblical solution to a hate-fueled conflict is the cleansing power of love… Christ’s love flowing through us in all we say and do.  Christ set the example of how to overcome evil with good, rage with calm, and hate with love… and He has charged all of us who want to follow Him to go and do likewise.

Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all sins. Proverbs 10:12
