Promises, Promises…

For years, gaming events and expos such as E3, Gamescom, TGS, PAX and more have brought us exciting announcements, trailers, and game reveals that fill our eyes with graphical wonders that seem too good to be true… and unfortunately, most of the time they ARE too good to be true.  Even with the best of intentions, it can be challenging for developers to fulfill all of the lofty promises they make to their fans from these grand stages… many times they can’t even hit the release dates they committed to because too may of the variables are simply out of their direct control.

The Lord has given His committed followers a multitude of promises, but unlike our well-meaning friends in game development He has full control over EVERY variable that will bring His words to pass.  He can guarantee that He will fulfill every promise He has made and hit every release date He has committed to… and because He has complete knowledge of every step along the way, not a single word He has spoken will ever fall to the ground unfulfilled. It may not happen when or how we prefer, but His promises will all come to pass in His time.

Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass. Joshua 21:45

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:11
