The original Mass Effect trilogy was packed with unique choices, but after answering all of these hundreds of smaller questions the entire game still led to one final decision… how do we choose to resolve the Reaper invasion? All of the alternative paths and possibilities, all the different dialogue options, and at the end of the game every player still stood in front of the same consoles to resolve the same conflict we all faced. We may not have gotten here the same way, but whether we were a paragon or a renegade, we were all unified by where our individual choices eventually brought us… to one centralizing point of final resolution. 

While everyone’s life plays out differently, each choice still builds to one decision… how do we choose to resolve our lifelong conflict with sin? On our own terms, or Christ’s? Our endgame is ultimately determined by our decision to either allow what we’ve endured to shape us into a recipient of His abundant grace or cause us to reject His mercy. No matter how we got here, transformation is the only path to resolution… and we all choose something. Let’s break the cycle, sacrifice ourselves, and gain Christ.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1-2

Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end. Hebrews 3:12-14
