While the Nintendo Switch has successfully surpassed all of Nintendo’s previous home consoles in units sold, its’ predecessor was far less successful… the WiiU. The WiiU was the first attempt for Nintendo at a touch-screen based console, but it was met with complete consumer apathy. It would’ve been easy for Nintendo to give up after such a massive setback, but Nintendo tried again… and five years later they took all they good and bad they learned from their previous consoles and handhelds and launched the Switch, creating the perfect system that worked both at home and on the go. The failure of the WiiU was just one chapter in a story that led to the Switch.
We’ve all made mistakes in life, but when we fully place our destiny into the hands of the Lord we’ll find that He’ll take those areas that represent our deepest failures and use them to serve a higher purpose. Even after his greatest moral failure and the painful consequence that followed, David and Bathsheba had another child who became the wisest in history… and if we place our crumbled mess of a life into His hands, He’ll make a masterpiece out of it, too.
Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:18-19
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
