The Nintendo Wii console still stands as one of the best selling hardware platforms of all time, selling over 100 million units during its’ lifetime. But despite those incredible numbers, the final legacy of the Wii was a bit of a mixed bag, with some of the best titles ever released sharing the same shelf space with some of the worst games ever made. The final years of the Wii console were unfortunately best known for large quantities of poorly made games termed “shovelware”… low-quality titles that were an ineffective representation of what the Wii was capable of when it kept its’ standards high.

As living “platforms” demonstrating the Lord to all who are observing us, what we say and do matters… our “quality standards” are defined by whatever is true, noble, just, pure, lovely, virtuous and praiseworthy in the eyes of the Father. But when our words and actions are inconsistent with these values, we combine His fresh water that is meant to give life to others with a bitter aftertaste. Let’s remind ourselves that as His ambassadors we represent Him at all times… even when things are tough, let’s rise above and deliver words of life and light.

Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? James 3:10-11
