Many of the most memorable characters in the Star Wars franchise started with a problematic background painted in shades of gray… such as Bo-Katan Kryze, a Mandalorian warrior who errantly joined a rogue faction known as the “Death Watch” to pursue her goals of a strong and united Mandalore. While her intentions were honorable, she had chosen allies that led her down a dark and compromising path to achieve them… and because they didn’t share her convictions, they ultimately betrayed her and their cause. Bo-Katan learned there was only one path to truly serve her people and fulfill her purpose… by following “The Way”.

Even our most noble and well-intended actions are doomed to failure when they aren’t aligned with the Lord’s will and His “way”… there aren’t any shortcuts He will accept to achieve His purposes and His plans are non-negotiable, leaving no room for compromise. Our efforts to achieve His will without following His ways will only result in frustration, so let’s yield complete control of our minds and the temptation to do things our own way. Christ never asked us to understand His directions, only to obey them.

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. Proverbs 14:12
