Clone Wars: From Unappreciated to Unforgettable

As a lifelong Star Wars fan, I have endured the highest of highs as well as the lowest of lows… and while the good has always outweighed the awful, some of my most cherished experiences were birthed from some of the things I didn’t really enjoy. I didn’t care for the first animated “Clone Wars” movie, but my appreciation for the Clone Wars animated series and its spin-offs only grew over the years… without it, I would’ve never gotten to enjoy some of the best Star Wars they ever made, introducing characters such as Ahsoka, the Bad Batch, and many others I simply couldn’t do without.

Just as there are parts of Star Wars that aren’t my favorite, there are many portions of my real world life that I don’t really appreciate… and if I was given the option, I would’ve skipped them entirely. But out of these painful and unwanted experiences, many of the most important and beautiful moments of my life were birthed… as well as lessons I couldn’t have learned in my previous places of comfort. As we endure our trials, let’s look for what the Lord is doing in us through them rather than just what He is doing to end them… a “new hope” is hidden within.

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:3-5

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2-4
